“Nanny” is the latest horror movie from Blumhouse Productions. The psychological thriller starts streaming exclusively on Prime Video starting December 16. 

The film follows a Senegalese immigrant named Aisha who is hired to work as a nanny for a wealthy family in New York City. While waiting for the arrival of the son she left back in Senegal, Aisha starts to become wary of her employers and experiences violent visions that disrupt her new life.

Anna Diop, best known for starring in the HBO Max series “Titans,” plays the lead. She’s joined by Michelle Monaghan, Sinqua Walls, Morgan Spector, Leslie Uggams, and Rose Decker. 

“Nanny” is written and directed by Nikyatu Jusu, and the film serves as her feature-length directorial debut. It is produced by Nikkia Moulterie and Daniela Taplin Lundberg (“Harriet”).

How to watch ‘Nanny’

You can watch “Nanny” at home exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting December 16. Amazon typically releases new titles at 12 a.m. GMT, which means “Nanny” could actually start streaming as early as 7 p.m. ET on December 15. 

Prime Video is available with a full Amazon Prime Membership for $15 a month or $139 a year. If you’re only interested in using the streaming service, you can subscribe to Prime Video on its own for $9 a month. 

Students at US colleges and universities can save 50% and pay just $7.49 a month or $69 a year. EBT, Medicaid, and other select government assistance recipients can qualify to receive a discounted Prime membership at $7 a month.
